FES moved the carnival to Fall and it was well attended with teachers and parent volunteers who allowed our terrific students to have a ton of fun.
Mrs. Parker and Mrs. Gosnell's students had lots of fun learning how to make ice cream in class today. What a great STEM activity!

Thank you PTO parent and teacher volunteers for making our school Spring Carnival a fun time.
PTO sponsored FES' Annual Father Daughter Dance. FES has some amazing young ladies and dads. It was a great time dancing with these excited young ladies. Thank you to our dads who came out with their special daughters.
Wow, the teachers are getting their bands ready for the Booster Thon Fun Run. The creative juices are vamping up as they decorate classroom doors in preparation for next Thursday’s big event. Which band will you donate to?

Students raised money for Make a Wish Foundation. The winning classes witnessed their teacher pie our administrators.
First Grade studied plants and went to Hatcher Gardens to learn more.
The annual Farmer's Day had many dressed as farmers from the Westside and FES
First graders learned to write equations using Math manipulatives and slates.
First Graders discovered that all movement needs a push or a pull with great or little force. We investigated making ice cream, using jump ropes to see different motions, and even doing learning activities in class at Learning Centers.
Mrs. Parker's class worked with Legos to discover push, pull, motion, and force in Science.

FES held a Pep Rally to encourage 3-5 grades to Do Their Best on Their Tests! K-2 lined the halls with encouraging words as 3-5 filed into the auditorium for a skit by their very own teachers!

Our 3rd graders put on a program to show everyone what they learned about being Sandlappers.

Faculty and students dressed in PJs to enjoy a learning day lounging around. Students recieved a book and some even enjoyed hot chocolate during the day.
Mrs. Parker's stduents made playdough in groups and then each student made a model of Earth. We then studied what makes day and night using a flashlight and our playdough Earth models.
